1. Unit Overview

The Website Unit at the College of Medicine – University of Anbar is a specialized technical unit administratively linked to the College Dean’s Office and technically affiliated with the Computer Center at the University Presidency. It is responsible for managing and developing the official college website and publishing activities, announcements, and information that serve the educational, research, and administrative processes.

2. Objectives

  • Highlight the College’s scientific, administrative, and media activities through the official website.

  • Provide an official online platform for communication with students, faculty, and the public.

  • Ensure the accuracy and transparency of published information.

  • Support the University’s digital transformation initiatives.

3. Duties of the Unit

Website Management:

  • Continuously design and update website pages.

  • Organize the site interface to align with the College and University identity.

  • Add new sections or make modifications as needed.

News and Announcements:

  • Publish official news from the College.

  • Post announcements regarding exam schedules and student results.

  • Document conferences, workshops, seminars, and student activities.

Documentation and Electronic Archiving:

  • Create an electronic archive for research and conferences.

  • Store photos and videos of academic and administrative activities in a dedicated database.

Technical Follow-up:

  • Ensure the website functions properly and is protected from threats.

  • Report technical issues to the University Computer Center for resolution.

  • Monitor hosting servers and related databases.

Coordination with Other Units:

  • Collaborate with the Media, Registration, and Postgraduate units to provide the required content.

  • Verify the accuracy of published information in coordination with relevant departments.

Reports and Technical Support:

  • Prepare periodic reports on website activity and visitor statistics.

  • Provide technical support for faculty and students in uploading content.

  • Contribute to training on the use of electronic educational platforms.

4. Administrative and Technical Affiliation

The unit reports directly to the College Dean or his designee and coordinates technically with the Computer Center at the University of Anbar Presidency.

5. General Guidelines

  • Adhere to official standards for electronic publishing.

  • Continuously update the website to ensure accurate information.

  • Maintain data confidentiality and security.

  • Properly document all activities and news according to administrative procedures.
