The Faculty of Medicine Council holds its sixth regular session for the academic year 2024/2025
Chaired by Professor Dr. Walid Nassar Jaffal, the esteemed Dean of the College of Medicine, and in the presence of the ladies and gentlemen of the esteemed members of the College Council, the sixth regular session of the College of Medicine Council was held, with the help of God Almighty, at exactly ten o'clock in the morning in the College Council Hall.
The Council began its work by praying for the soul of the deceased of the college, Assistant Professor Dr. Amir Abdul-Ilah Ismail, who passed away to the mercy of God as a result of an unfortunate accident. We ask God Almighty to have mercy on him and to dwell in his spacious gardens.
During the session, the Council discussed the topics included in its agenda, foremost of which were the outcomes and directives of the Anbar University Council, which was held on 1/20/2025.
The meeting also included discussing the minutes of the Scientific Promotions Committee meeting, the report of the Strategic Plan Committee meeting, and following up on the completion of the research plan, in addition to discussing the topic of extending the time period for postgraduate students - Master's.
As part of the college's keenness to honor its competencies and appreciate their scientific efforts, the council hosted Professor Dr. Amer Fakhri Mazban, where he was honored with the Loyalty Shield on the occasion of his retirement after reaching the legal age, in appreciation of his sincere efforts and outstanding contributions in serving science throughout his years of university service. The council wished him continued health and wellness. At the end of the session, the Dean of the College expressed his thanks and appreciation to the council members for their great and distinguished efforts in serving the college and the country.
