**The President of the University of Anbar Affirms His Support for Curriculum Development During a Scientific Workshop at the College of Medicine**
The President of the University of Anbar, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada, attended the activities of a scientific workshop organized by the College of Medicine / University of Anbar on curriculum development. The workshop was held under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Waleed Nassar Jaffal, at Hall A of the college.
The participation of the University President comes as part of his continuous support for efforts to advance medical education. He emphasized the importance of adopting modern integrated curricula that align with national and international standards and contribute to preparing graduates who possess strong scientific competence and the required clinical skills.
He also reaffirmed the University Presidency’s support for the initiatives of the College of Medicine in developing academic curricula, in a way that enhances the quality of medical education and keeps pace with the latest global developments in this field.
The workshop featured scientific lectures and contributions from a distinguished group of medical education experts in Iraq, including Professor Dr. Hilal Bahjat Al-Saffar, Rapporteur of the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges in Iraq and Head of the Royal College Fellows Network in Iraq, along with Professor Dr. Issam Al-Zuwaeni, Professor Dr. Nizar Haddad, and Assistant Professor Dr. Basim Natheer, in addition to the participation of several specialists and those interested in curriculum development.
The workshop also included in-depth scientific discussions addressing several key topics, most notably the requirements for curriculum development, the challenges of transitioning to integrated curricula, and mechanisms for implementing best global practices in medical education.
