
Dean of the College of Medicine Honors Student Muhammad Khalil for Discovering a Scientific Error in a Global Medical Textbook
Professor Dr. Walid Nassar Jafal, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Anbar, honored student Muhammad Khalil Ali (a fifth-year medical student) for identifying a scientific error in the latest edition of the internationally renowned textbook "Davidson's Principles and Practice of Medicine", considered a cornerstone reference in the medical field.
Dean Jafal praised the student’s academic excellence and meticulous critical analysis skills, stating: "This achievement reflects the spirit of scientific inquiry and dedication we strive to instill in our students. It demonstrates that diligence and attention to detail can contribute to advancing medical knowledge, even when addressing well-established references."
The student, Muhammad Khalil Ali, had noticed an error in one of the textbook’s scientific statements. After thorough verification, the relevant department confirmed the validity of his work, leading to the error’s correction in subsequent editions of the book.
