College of Medicine at University of Anbar Holds Its Seventh Regular Session for the 2024/2025 Academic Year

 The College of Medicine at the University of Anbar held its seventh regular session for the 2024/2025 academic year on Tuesday, February 19, 2025, in the College Council Hall, starting at 11:00 AM. The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Walid Nassar Jaffal, Head of the College Council, and attended by the esteemed council members.

In his opening remarks, Professor Dr. Walid Nassar Jaffal emphasized that this session aligns with the "continuous effort to enhance academic and administrative efficiency and integrate the college’s vision with the university’s strategy." He also commended the council members for their dedication to discussing critical issues that advance educational and research endeavors.

Key Highlights of the Session:

  • Discussing directives issued by the University of Anbar Council during its seventh session and incorporating them into the college’s future plans.

  • Reviewing the academic year’s research plan, evaluating progress on research projects, and proposing mechanisms to improve the quality of outcomes.

  • Presenting proposed updates to faculty members’ job descriptions, administrative authorities, and academic roles, pending official approval.

  • Extending the study period for postgraduate students in certain specializations, in compliance with academic and research regulations.

  • Promoting sustainable development within the college through eco-friendly projects and optimizing resource consumption.

  • Enhancing undergraduate programs to align with global advancements in the medical field.
