
Continuation of Final Clinical Examinations for Sixth-Year Students at the College of Medicine
The final clinical examinations (OSCE) for sixth-year students at the College of Medicine are ongoing, covering the branches of Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pediatrics. Within this context, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Walid Nassar Jafal, continues his inspection tours to monitor the progress of the examinations and ensure the application of scientific and professional standards in student evaluations.
The tour included a field visit to the Ramadi Maternity and Children’s Teaching Hospital to observe the OSCE examinations for the Pediatrics Department. Dr. Hatem Hamdan, the hospital director, welcomed the Dean and provided a comprehensive briefing on the measures taken to ensure smooth examinations and high-quality performance.
This year, the examinations saw active participation from specialist doctors at teaching hospitals, alongside external examiners from the Universities of Baghdad and Fallujah. This collaboration enhances the objectivity of the assessments and ensures a comprehensive evaluation process in line with the latest academic standards.
The Dean praised the significant role played by the hospital director in supporting the examination process and providing the necessary facilities for its success. He emphasized that this fruitful collaboration between healthcare and academic institutions is a cornerstone for advancing medical education and improving the quality of clinical training.
The Dean also expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts of the teaching and administrative staff in preparing an ideal examination environment that ensures fairness and transparency. He reiterated that these inspection tours reflect the commitment to maintaining the quality of medical education and preparing competent graduates who are ready to serve the community effectively and professionally.
