As part of efforts to strengthen academic and scientific cooperation among Arab universities, a delegation from the College of Medicine at the University of Anbar visited Tunis El Manar University and its Faculty of Medicine. The visit comes in light of the memorandum of understanding previously signed between the University of Anbar, represented by its President, Professor Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Neda, and Tunis El Manar University.

The delegation was headed by Professor Dr. Waleed Nassar Jaffal, Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Anbar. The visit took place over two days, Monday and Tuesday, July 14–15, 2025. The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Moez Chafra, President of Tunis El Manar University, along with several university officials. They were also welcomed by Professor Dr. Ihab Al-Labban, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Tunis El Manar.

During the visit, several fruitful meetings were held to discuss mechanisms for activating joint areas of cooperation, including academic and training exchange programs, implementation of joint research projects, support for medical education and curriculum development, and the opening of new avenues for collaboration in the fields of scientific conferences and workshops.

Both sides expressed their commitment to building an effective strategic partnership that would enhance the quality of medical education and scientific research, benefiting both institutions and contributing positively to the Iraqi and Tunisian communities.
